As a child, I always enjoyed building and creating; the messier the
materials, the more I loved it. I decided I was going to be an artist in
high school and then completed my BA at EKU and my Master’s at
Marshall University. After teaching middle school art in Maryland for
32 years, I retired to Kentucky. It is wonderful to create art almost
every day, cut wood, go fishing, mountain biking, or work in the
garden, whenever I want. My studio and gallery are located outside
Columbia, KY, on a formerly Amish farm.
“I get ideas for my work from every day
experiences and from my travels to other
countries.”
